Tom Fogarty

Owner and President, Fogarty Construction Inc

Tom founded Fogarty Construction in Johnson County, Kansas in 2002. Prior to that he owned a successful construction company under the name "Rafter Masters" that operated out of Portland, Oregon for 15 years. 

The Fogarty family, (Tom, his wife, Stacy, and their four children),  relocated after visiting some friends in the area and falling in love with the bright open skies, the family friendly atmosphere and the Midwest way of life. 

Tom began his career in the midwest as a superintendent for Mr. Randy Russell of Covenant Construction but soon found he missed the challenges of framing and being his own boss. Since then Tom has worked hard to build a solid reputation as one of the areas most sought after rough in carpenters by consistently turning out high quality workmanship quickly and at a competitive price. 

Tom has always been interested in all aspects of construction. He enrolled in the Oregon School of Design straight out of High School and simultaneously took a part time job with a framing crew to help pay for school. After several months, Tom realized that he preferred the actual building process and seeing the finished product completed to sitting behind a desk all day. For the last 25 years he has fostered his extraordinary talent for taking even the most complicated structures and making them come to life effortlessly. There is no challenge too great for his skill. And because Tom is a true perfectionist, builders are always more then satisfied with his finished product.

In his spare time Tom enjoys racing out at Lakeside Speedway. He started his own racing team, Ground Shark Racing, aptly named after his Jack Russell Terrier who is faster then a speeding bullet and as fearless as a great white shark.
